With my 3rd grade team, we incorporated some of the teaching from 1-2-3 Shooting into all of our shooting drills and games. We focused on hand position on the ball, power from their legs, and following through in all things shooting at practices. It sounds so simple, but we saw that the more we focused on this skill in all our drills, the better our players became at them. Something simple, but at the 3rd grade level, every step forward is a big one.
